Amazon Founder & CEO, Jeff Bezos was seen partying with Katy Perry and Lil Nas X on Tuesday evening. Jeff Bezos rented out Seattle’s CenturyLink Stadium to celebrate successful Prime Day with his 45,000 Employees.
Behind the Scene
World’s richest man, Bezos, took some time off from his schedule to spend some time alongside the two celebrities who performed at Amazon’s post-prime Day 2019 celebratory concert. The concert was for all the 45,000 employees of the company.
However, Perry has shared a picture on Instagram where they were seen in arm with a caption, “I’m having the PRIME of my life.”
During the concert, Bezos introduced Perry. He even congratulated the employees for their hard work and shared how quickly the company has grown in the last 20 years. The original story
“I remember it was just a little over 20 years ago, I was driving all the packages to the post office myself. That wasn’t that long ago. And when I look out at this crowd, I am in awe of what you guys do — in awe of what you guys do,” he said.
“Not just on Prime Day, but every day. The curiosity, the passion, the hard work, everything that I see when I get to work with you guys, it’s just amazing to me and it’s awe-inspiring. So thank you very much.”
As they say, the grass is green from the other side, this is here as well. The company has come under the scanner for their treatment of its workers in recent years, specifically with those in the warehouses.
In 2016, a journalist went in disguise in the warehouse in the UK and shared how workers were peeing into bottles because of the fear of missing targets. Many warehouse employees later confirmed that and the constant surveillance and security cameras around them made employees feel like “robots.”
