While the global pandemic novel coronavirus has brought the entire world into a standstill, it has put the restriction on travelling as well. And, the same thing happened with Prince Harry too who has recently said that only COVID-19 stopped him from returning to the UK.
Harry to return in 2021
However, not only this, but he also revealed when he hopes to return to the UK also. He set his eyes on the return during the Rugby League World Cup which is going to be held at venues across England in the winter of 2021 from October 23 to November 27.
While speaking during a Zoom call with staff and volunteers from the Rugby Football League to mаrk the occasion of sport’s 125th birthday, Harry revealed his desire. He said, “We’ve got a whole Rugby League World Cup coming next year. I definitely plan on coming back. I would have been back already had it not been for COVID.”
Harry – patron of the Rugby Football League
Harry, who is currently patron of the Rugby Football League, further added that watching Rugby League is exhausting as he has spent ten years in the army and he knows what endurance is all about. He also paid his respect to all the players and he feels many would feel jealous not to be part of that community as well.
He cоntinued: “It can bring so many families together, bring so many people together. It doesn’t matter whether you’re in the stаnds, whether you’re the groundsman, whether you’re a player, whether you’re a fan, or whether you’re a first-time watcher, every single person is bound by this family fеeling.”
Notably, he is in California, where he is living with his wife Meghan and son Archie where they have reportedly bought an £11m home in the celebrity hotspot too. Ever since they have quit the Royal tag, they have been in the news – be it for their professional life or personal.
