Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have tied the knot last year. However, they have split from their marriage within a year. Rumors of the separation between Cyrus and Hemsworth took place when the singer took to Instagram and posted a picture of her where she was not seen with her wedding ring.
The Reason Behind the Separation
She wrote the caption “Mute me if you don’t want SPAMMED,” with the picture where she was seen sitting in a chair while wearing a black top and a pair of black pants. Apart from her wedding ring, she was seen wearing many bracelets and necklaces.
However, her older sister Brandi Cyrus wrote a comment, “Boooooooooooooom!”
“Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time. Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what’s best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of the animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy,” a rep for Cyrus tells PEOPLE in a statement.
The Love Story
Cyrus and Hemsworth met on the set of Nicholas Sparks’ romantic drama The Last Song in 2009. They had an on-off relationship for years before Hemsworth proposed her in 2012. But they ended their engagement and broke up in 2013 and once again reconciled in 2015
Both of them were pretty committed to each other for years. Although they were not concerned about marriage, they tied the knot on 23 December 2018 in an intimate ceremony at their home in Franklin, Tennessee. They came closer when their Malibu home burned down last month during the California wildfires.
