This is the first socially-distanced Christmas for the entire world. The royal family is not any exception. Reportedly, presents have been sent back and forth between the entire royal family for the Christmas.
Even amid the pandemic, the festivities and celebrations have not stopped. For the royal family, this is first like never before. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle left the royalty back in January this year. Moreover, this is the time of socially-distanced life due to the ongoing pandemic. They are currently in the US in their new Montecito home with their 19-month-old son Archie. But that did not stop the royal family sending gifts to each other.
According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made sure to send over Christmas gifts to Prince William and Kate Middleton ahead of the holiday. They were also sent the same from the royal family. This will be Archie’s second Christmas.
Queen Elizabeth had called off her annual Christmas trip to Sandringham. Prince William spoke about his recent Royal Train tour, “It is so difficult. We are still trying to make plans. It’s difficult to know what to do for the best.” William and Kate’s children Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 5, and Prince Louis, 2, are already in the Christmas spirit. They were seen making red carpet debut at a Christmas pantomime performance at the London Palladium. They would be helping their grandmother Carole Middleton decorate her Christmas tree via video call. Middleton had revealed the same through an Instagram post.

For the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip, this festive season will be spent at Windsor Castle while Charles, the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall, Camila plan to visit them at some point. Whether Prince William and Kate Middleton will be paying them a visit, that is yet not disclosed.
