Did Ellen DeGeneres Make a Joke on Meghan Markle?
Industries and controversies run on a parallel line together. The same goes for Ellen DeGeneres. Recently controversies have sparked against Ellen which has further made headlines. She has been accused of toxicity in her shows, along with the carrying forward the culture of bullying staff members and lower executives. Now again, an old controversy has resurfaced. She had earlier made a foul remark on Meghan Markle, The Duchess of Sussex. The Daily Mail has reported that DeGeneres made a joke on Meghan, even before the latest controversies surfaced.
In 2017, Ellen DeGeneres passed comment on Meghan Markle’s marriage with Prince Harry. In the talk show hosted by DeGeneres, mocked Meghan saying that Meghan is the briefcase girl and has chosen briefcase number 24 which is supposed to be filled with money. Hence, denoting Meghan as the Holder Of Briefcase 24. Not only she stopped there, but kept on saying that, if the Duke of Sussex had favoured other modes then he would have got some ‘Million Dollars’.

Ellen has been in the headline for a while now. Reports say that she had shared an apology to the staff who called out Ellen and the show to be toxic. In the apology, she has stated that she was not kind enough with them. According to the mass, it is said that she has also apologized to the staff at a video conference.
After the set-up of the internal investigation organized by the Warner Media, and the parting way of the three co-producers of the show Ed Glavin, Jonathan Norman, and Kevin Leman, the apology was shared. Not to deviate from the fact that the co-producers of The Ellen Show were not accused of any sort of sexual misconduct.
