FIFAe, FIFA’s esports subsidiary, has announced the first-ever multi-title football esports event in Liverpool, which will take place from August 28th to September 1st.

The event will include two football-themed esports: Sports Interactive’s Football Manager and eFootball Pro Evolution Soccer.

FIFAe has partnered with tourist information company VisitLiverpool

FIFAe has teamed with VisitLiverpool to host FIFAe Next Gen 2024, a special event at Liverpool’s Exhibition Centre.

The FIFAe World Cup featuring Football Manager will have 20 managers representing their respective countries, battling for a $100,000 prize pool.

FIFAe had previously announced the event, but owing to stakeholder alignment, some aspects have changed. Interestingly, FIFAe Next Gen will not include the FIFAe World Cup with Rocket League, which was announced in June.

The Football Manager event will feature a dedicated show by YouTuber Spencer ‘SpencerFC’ Owen on the final two days of competition, covering football, tactics, and Football Manager, which will be streamed across FIFAe channels.

FIFAe will host the FIFAe Fame Your Game Cup

FIFAe will host the FIFAe Fame Your Game Cup, featuring eFootball Mobile. Local players will compete in a qualifier on August 29th to face global players the following day, alongside the Football Manager event.

Steve Rotheram, Mayor of the Liverpool City Region, commented  “As a city that lives and breathes football, loves bringing people together and relishes putting on big events, we’re delighted to be welcoming the first FIFAe Next Gen event to Liverpool. We are home to a vibrant and growing digital and gaming sector with strong esports credentials. This will be a fantastic opportunity to establish our city as a long-term host for the esports industry, boosting the local economy through tourism, hospitality, and retail.”
