The famous actor Keanu Reeves and River Phoenix was a close friend. River was Joaquin Phoenix’s late brother who died of a drug overdose way back in 1993. As per the OK!, Phoenix has planned to honour his brother by asking Keanu Reeves to be the best man at his wedding.

Even the unknown insider also added that everyone thought it would be a great way to honour River Phoenix. However, apart from the friendship between Keanu and River, other things have been invented in order to deceive.
Meanwhile, Gossip Cop searched about the incident with a source close to the situation, who shared that the publication’s article is nothing but a rumour as Phoenix hasn’t asked Reeves to be the best man at his wedding as the wedding has not been planned yet. Notably, the two actors don’t know each other well, despite being the fact that Reeves and River were close friends a long ago.
