Based on the reports from James Pearce of The Athletic, it has been revealed that Liverpool has initiated plans to offload a group of players including Tyler Morton, Stefan Bajcetic, Ben Doak, and Joe Gomez before the closure of the upcoming summer transfer window deadline.

They haven’t made a new signing yet

The Reds have sold Sepp van den Berg and Fabio Carvalho to Brentford, Adrian and Joel Matip have left due to contract expirations, Thiago Alcantara has retired, Calvin Ramsay and Rhys Williams have left on loan, and the club has reached an agreement with Valencia to loan Georgian goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili for the 2024-25 season.

Liverpool is considering sending four players out on loan or permanent transfer. Tyler Morton is wanted on a season-long loan, with Xabi Alonso admiring him.

Liverpool and Valencia initially discussed Stefan Bajcetic as part of a Mamardashvili deal, but Bajcetic could still move to Valencia on loan.

Doak has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs and could leave on loan.

Earlier in the summer season, Gomez was reportedly offered £45 million by Newcastle United, but the deal fell through. The Reds are holding out for any form of offer for Gomez.

Liverpool have won both of their games this season

This season, Liverpool has won both of their games. They defeated Brentford at home by the same score after defeating Ipswich Town 2-0 away. Slot is pleased with his team’s start but isn’t going to get too carried away.

Slot argued that, with all due respect, Brentford and Ipswich are unlikely to finish in the top six. As a result, his team still has much to prove.

“I think both of the teams, Ipswich and Brentford, deserve our respect for the way they have played against us, but I am not expecting one of the two [to be] in the top six in the upcoming season so there is still a lot to prove for us.” He told the media following Brentford’s triumph.

Next up for Liverpool is an exciting match. On Sunday, September 1, they play Manchester United at Old Trafford.
