Currently, health authorities and food safety experts are diligently working to uncover the root cause of this crisis. The severity of the situation is evident as 57 affected individuals required medical treatment in the hospital, highlighting the importance of swift and thorough investigations.

A ByteDance spokesperson commented on the situation, he said “We take the health and safety of our employees very seriously and have taken immediate steps to support all affected employees, including working with emergency services to provide care,” he also added “We are investigating the matter and are working with the relevant authorities on this.”
To tend to the sick, seventeen ambulances were dispatched to the building located in Singapore’s business district.

In a joint statement with the city-state’s Ministry of Health, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) stated that “food operators must play their part by adhering to good food safety practices” statement also said “SFA will not hesitate to take enforcement action against errant food operators.”
ByteDance, founded in 2012 by Chinese entrepreneurs, gained significant success with the short video app Douyin in China.
The company later launched TikTok, an international version of Douyin, which has over a billion active users worldwide.
TikTok is ultimately owned by ByteDance, but it is currently managed by a limited liability company with offices in Singapore and Los Angeles.
