Tory Burch debuted a collection at New York Fashion Week that incorporated sporting spirit without sportswear.

The collection featured loose-fitting wool slacks and wrap dresses, while the models’ combinations of diverse items, textures, and cuts exuded power.

“It’s more about the spirit”

Burch told AFP about the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, she said  “It’s more about the spirit and the essence of sport,”

During her presentation, she fervently stressed the significance of incorporating movement, freedom, and precision into our daily actions. Moreover, she introduced the notion of synchronicity as a fundamental principle that underpins the harmonious integration of these elements in all aspects of our lives.

Burch, who honored her own fashion house’s 20th anniversary this year, stated “I wanted to be careful with not having too many different prints, but I wanted it to come across some textures and the fabrics and the colour well.”

“I want to have a dialogue”

Among the standouts at the fashion show was an ensemble that effortlessly captured attention – ultra-light suede pants adorned with a chic rope belt, paired stylishly with a skin-tight sweater in a striking red and white pattern.

Adding to the captivating display was a transparent white jersey shirt complete with delicate ruffles and elegantly long sleeves, perfectly complemented by its sophisticated counterpart, brown wool pants.

The Pennsylvania native once again veered from her signature look, which was a blend of bohemian and preppy New England.

Burch, who frequently performs at famous locations in New York, decided to have her show on the top floor of the former Domino sugar factory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, because of its amazing perspective of Manhattan.

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and actresses Michelle Williams, Elizabeth Olsen, and Kirsten Stewart attended the event.

“I want to have a dialogue, but I want to keep evolving and taking it in new directions, I think it’s important to have some continuity.” She stated.
