In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Stanley Tucci, the talented 63-year-old actor, expressed his enthusiasm and support for returning to his iconic role as the art director, Nigel Kipling, in The Devil Wears Prada.

Following the exciting announcement earlier this year about a possible sequel to the beloved 2006 film being in the works, Tucci shared his thoughts on reprising the character, highlighting his passion for portraying Nigel once again in the upcoming project.

“If it does happen, I can only say that I’ll be happy,”

Tucci said “If it does happen, I can only say that I’ll be happy, I don’t really know. I haven’t [heard] about the plot or anything. I really haven’t,”

Based on Lauren Weisberger’s book of the same name, The Devil Wears Prada centers on Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), a recent college graduate who is keen to pursue a career in journalism.

Following her hiring as a junior assistant to fictional high-fashion magazine Runway’s editor-in-chief, Miranda Priestly (played by Meryl Streep), Andy finds it difficult to balance the demands of her new position with her relationship with her boyfriend and her coworkers, Emily (Emily Blunt) and Tucci’s Nigel.

The Devil Wears Prada 2’s storyline, according to Puck News, would follow Priestly—who is still in charge of Runway—as she gains experience navigating the increasingly digital magazine market.

The storyline of the 2013 book sequel Revenge Wears Prada: The Devil Returns may also be followed in the follow-up movie. Years after the events of the first chapter, Andy and Emily reunite as successful magazine editors when Miranda reappears indiscernible in Andy’s life.

If Hathaway and Blunt, both 41, were to reunite with Streep, 75, for The Devil Wears Prada 2, would be “fun,” Tucci tells PEOPLE that another emotion comes to mind.

He said “I don’t think fun would be the word, I think we would have one of the best times ever. I’ve made many movies, I’ve probably made close to 100 movies, and I don’t even know how many television episodes, but that experience was one of the greatest experiences I’ve ever had,”

“It was just this perfect combination of people, from [director] David [Frankel] to Meryl to Annie, and Emily, who’s now my sister-in law.”, It’s just great.” He added.

No casting news have been confirmed for The Devil Wears Prada 2

Although there is currently no confirmed cast for The Devil Wears Prada 2, Tucci is eagerly anticipating the release of his upcoming book, What I Ate in One Year: (and Related Thoughts).

Tucci said “I didn’t know what to write. The publishers wanted me to write something, but after I wrote the first book, I was like, ‘I don’t know what to write,’ and my wife, who’s a literary agent, said, ‘Just write what you eat in one year,’ and so I did.”

“You start writing and stuff just comes out, because every time you write about food, it’s a personal experience and it brings up other personal experiences or it brings up related memories from your childhood, about people who are no longer here anymore or friends who are but you don’t see, and then writing about eating with the kids, cooking for the kids, my older kids, my little kids, I guess it shows the passage of time and love and loss through the prism of food,” he added.
