On Wednesday, Romanian authorities conducted a thorough search at the residence of Andrew Tate, a controversial influencer facing trial on charges related to human trafficking and rape.
This search, part of a fresh investigation, was carried out by officials as they delved deeper into the case, shedding light on the ongoing legal proceedings and garnering attention from concerned individuals.
They have denied the charges
Andrew Tate, a well-known influencer primarily recognized for his misogynistic and confrontational behavior, faced serious allegations in early 2021 when it was claimed that he had established a structured criminal network operating in both Romania and Britain. Despite these accusations, He and his brother Tristan firmly refutes any involvement in such illicit activities.
Prosecutors are investigating a criminal organization led by 37-year-old Tate, his brother, and two women who sexually exploited multiple victims. A trial date has not been set. Prosecutors conducted a raid on the Tate brothers’ residence on August 21, 2024, as part of a new investigation.
According to DIICOT, four search warrants were executed in connection with “the crimes of forming an organised criminal group,” “trafficking in minors,” “sexual relations with a minor,” and “money laundering.”

Neither of the announcements revealed whether the new charges were directed at the brothers. They were caught in Bucharest in 2022 and held for three months before being released under judicial monitoring to await prosecution.
The brothers are facing rape, assault, and tax evasion allegations in Britain. Tate appeared on the “Big Brother” reality show in 2016, but was removed after a video emerged showing him attacking a woman.
He then used social media sites to spread his contentious beliefs. His videos, which offer advice on how to be successful as well as misogynistic and often violent maxims, have helped him become one of the world’s most well-known influencers.
