The words that Nicole Kidman and Salma Hayek supposedly exchanged in a widely shared viral film from Paris Fashion Week were made public by a lip reader.
In front of a horde of photographers on September 30, Kidman,57, and Hayek,58, appeared to be sharing a tense moment at the Balenciaga presentation. The women were there with Katy Perry, who was standing off to the side at the time of the purportedly chilly encounter.
“Let’s turn there, OK, here,”
“Let’s turn there, OK, here,” Jeremy Freeman, a forensic lip reader located in the UK, is an expert witness who believes that Hayek said this to Kidman.
He then revealed the response by Kidman being “Hey, I’m fine, I’m good. There, it’s enough, it’s OK.”
Then Hayek stepped in and started saying, “We have to,” before placing her hand on Perry’s shoulder. After saying, “That’s fine, that’s fine,” Hayek motioned for Perry, 39, to turn to face the photographers while donning sunglasses.
While many social media users are certain that the meeting was “tense,” others contend that it’s possible the women were just anxious about being in the middle of so many cameras and surrounded by paparazzi.
According to other different clips that have been making the rounds on X, it looks Kidman and Hayek were getting along just great throughout other sections of the event.
Given that Kidman was making her first public appearance since her mother’s untimely passing last month, one X user said that maybe she was “just not feeling the moment and that’s OK.”
Kidman took to Instagram to share photos following her mother
Kidman previously shared pictures of her mother on Instagram after her tragic death.
She wrote “My sister and I along with our family want to thank you for the outpouring of love and kindness we have felt this week. Every message we have received from those who loved and admired our Mother has meant more to us than we will ever be able to express, Thank you from our whole family for respecting our privacy as we take care of each other.”
The Kering Group, a French multinational holding corporation, is the owner of Balenciaga and a number of other luxury labels, such as Gucci, Yves Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, and Alexander McQueen. François-Henri Pinault, Hayek’s spouse, has led Kering as CEO and president since 2005.
