In a groundbreaking collaboration, the brilliant Joaquin Phoenix and the talented Lady Gaga joined forces for the first time in the film “Joker: Folie à Deux,” expertly directed by Todd Phillips.

Initially met with enthusiasm, the movie has unfortunately faded into obscurity, leaving its creators disheartened as fans express disappointment in the storyline. Building off the foundation laid by the first installment, the sequel smoothly continues the narrative, creating a seamless transition for audiences.

The film ends with Joker’s death

The Joker dies at the end of the movie. The film’s central murder trial came to an explosive end when the courthouse was destroyed by a bomb explosion.

Choosing to stand up for himself, Arthur Fleck acknowledged that the Joker did not have two personalities. He declared that he was guilty of the killings he had committed and that he was aware of what he had done.

The ending of the movie was widely trolled, The director, Todd Phillips stated “He realised that everything is so corrupt, it’s never going to change, and the only way to fix it is to burn it all down.”

He further added “When those guards kill that kid in the [hospital] he realizes that dressing up in makeup, putting on this thing, it’s not changing anything. In some ways, he’s accepted the fact that he’s always been Arthur Fleck; he’s never been this thing that’s been put upon him, this idea that Gotham people put on him, that he represents. He’s an unwitting icon. This thing was placed on him, and he doesn’t want to live as a fake anymore — he wants to be who he is.”

Todd also clarifies about the scenes between Harley Quinn and Joker

Todd made a decisive statement regarding the scenes featuring Harley Quinn and Joker in Joker: Folie à Deux, emphasizing that they were not mere products of the Joker’s imagination as some had speculated.

In fact, the director was adamant that the interactions between the two iconic characters were unfolding in reality, rather than being confined to Arthur’s mind. By dispelling any doubts, Todd underscored the authenticity of these scenes, driving home the point that the complex dynamics between Harley Quinn and Joker were tangible and integral to the film’s narrative.
