Research group and consulting company SIDO has recently unveiled an exciting new development with the introduction of the League of Legends Path2pro programme.

This innovative initiative is specifically designed to open up doors for aspiring North American players looking to step into the fast-paced world of esports.

By offering a structured pathway, this programme promises to provide invaluable support and resources, guiding talented individuals towards the prestigious professional ranks within the competitive League of Legends scene.

Players will be chosen based on their solo queue performance

Ten players will attend an in-person tryout in Los Angeles after being selected based on their performance in the solo queue, according to SIDO.

The players’ skills will subsequently be put to the test during a month-long boot camp in Seoul, South Korea, for a select few. In addition, optional seminars will be offered, allowing gamers to network with specialists in the business and learn skills not related to the game itself, such as good nutrition, exercise habits, and health.

In addition, the curriculum will assist players in monitoring stress markers and tracking their development so that training intensity may be modified appropriately.

The online application process will run for roughly three weeks, from the end of October to November. The in-person tryouts will begin in late November or early December.

In January, there will be a Korean boot camp. An announcement from the company states that all transportation, lodging, food, and equipment for the boot camp and in-person tryouts will be provided by SIDO and its sponsors, who will be revealed later.

Applications are currently open and will close on October 13th at 5pm PT

The application period is now open and ends on October 13 at 5 p.m. PT (1 a.m. BST). Players must be residents of the United States, Canada, or Mexico, be at least 16 years old, and have reached a top rank of Masters or higher this year in order to be eligible to apply.

Parth “Parth” Naidu, a seasoned esports industry veteran and former general manager of TSM, founded SIDO with the intention of utilizing professionals’ skills and knowledge to develop a range of goods and initiatives that would advance the esports sector.

To aid with player performance and development, the company earlier in 2022 announced a relationship with Immortals, a North American esports organization.
