Florida police officially confirmed on August 29th that there was no active shooter incident at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. Following investigations, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office clarified that the alarming “popping” noise, initially mistaken for a gunshot, was simply generated by a bursting balloon, dispelling any fears and restoring peace among visitors at the popular theme park.

 “There is no active shooter.”

The official statement read “ALERT: There is NO active shooter at @WaltDisneyWorld’s Magic Kingdom, A fight occurred, and a ‘popping’ sound was heard that we believe was a balloon.”

They added “Guests began running and that’s how the active shooter rumor started, There is no active shooter.”

Click Orlando recently published a video showcasing the unsettling scene where the park’s gift shops lay deserted and desolate, a haunting aftermath of the reported active shooter. The video vividly captured the eerily abandoned spaces, emphasizing the impact of the incident on the park’s atmosphere and visitors’ experiences.
