BTS member Suga has been involved in a drunk driving case for over a week, leading to protest trucks in Seoul. Suga fell from his electric scooter near the area, which houses several BTS members. Protesters are demanding Suga’s withdrawal from the group.

The message on Trucks read “Told his fans to be confident, came back to them with a DUI. Drunk driver Suga, D-Day to leave the group is today. 7-1=6. Armys will complete the group. Drunk driver Suga out. Kick Suga out of BTS. We do not need a criminal who deceives fans. Suga, leave the group on your own will before things get uglier.”

“We have reached the target amount for the fundraiser and have closed it.”

An x user posted “We have reached the target amount for the fundraiser and have closed it. Thank you to everyone who participated in the campaign, even though it was kept private. Starting tomorrow, the truck and the flower wreath campaigns will take place together. During the campaigns, we’ll have a staff managing the flower wreaths, and the trucks will be circulating around the bustling areas of Seoul even on the weekend. We appreciate your interest and support!”

The trucks were reported to have traveled through various stations, including HYBE and Nine One Hannam, Yongsan Station/Seoul Station, Hongdae, Hapjeong, Sangam, Seongsu, Keonkuk University Station, Jamsil, Gangnam Station, and Banpo Bus Terminal.

“This is the most absurd thing I’ve seen in a while”

Following this, the #SugaStaysChallenge and #SugaStays hashtags were trending on X as the BTS ARMY showed their support for Suga.

A person wrote, “This is the most absurd thing I’ve seen in a while. Sending trucks is meaningless when the police is doing their investigation. Don’t do something just because you want to.”

Another commented  “Anti fans brought the trucks with notifications to withdrawal Suga from the group!!! News said that Army did it! NOOOO!!! Rumors and lies!!!”

The incident took place last week when Suga was returning home

Suga was caught driving home on his electric scooter while intoxicated last week. Suga’s BAC was eight times over the legal limit; however, BigHit Music and Suga apologized to the fans, and the police launched a criminal investigation.

The incident occurred around 11.10 pm on August 6, when he toppled and fell while turning left near the building. Despite the incident, Suga managed to pick up the vehicle and was approached by police officers.

In South Korea, the 31-year-old rapper is performing as a social service agent as an alternative to military duty.
