CM Punk Set To Officiate NXT Match
Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins officiated a match between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk at WWE SummerSlam, where McIntyre emerged victorious. The two then faced off again in a Strap Match, during which Punk expressed his frustration with Rollins’ officiating at various points in the contest.
The Second City Saint is scheduled to officiate a match between Trick Williams and Ethan Page during WWE NXT’s CW Network premiere. CM Punk has several plans for the contest, including one aimed at surpassing Seth Rollins’ officiating performance.
During an appearance on 103.5 KISS FM, Punk discussed Seth Rollins’ eccentric referee outfit at SummerSlam and the various gadgets he had. He mentioned that he intends to incorporate all those gadgets and wear an even crazier outfit when officiating the match.
“I’m going to try and outdo goofy Seth Rollins with my referee outfit, I think. I have to. I think they want me to wear that headset that he had, the ref cam. Things are going to get wild. We’ll see how it goes,” Punk stated.
