WWE stars sometimes don’t follow the rules and regulations according to WWE, which leads to severe consequences as management doesn’t like it. There are Several incidents where wrestlers were punished for not being in accordance. 

Five Times When Stars Were Punished 

In a report by Sportskeeda, five times when WWE wrestlers were punished for violating the rules. 

  • RVD punished for drug-related charges
  • Mandy Rose released for NSFW content
  • Lana and Rusev are punished for going public
  • Batista fined!

Mandy Rose Posted A Explicit Content 

Superstar like Mandy Rose, one of the renowned wrestlers, was released from WWE in December 2022 as she was involved in posting explicit content on a premium subscription service which violated her contract terms and resulted in her losing the title to Roxanne Perez before her release, she was also at the peak of her career, having held the NXT Women’s Championship for over 400 days. 

Another case where  Rusev got engaged to Lana in 2015 while it was found that Rusev was involved with Summer Rae and Lana was with Dolph Ziggler on TV, caused WWE to abruptly end the storylines. The news upset Vince McMahon and he punished the couple for breaking the news, leading Rusev to lose his momentum and was pushed down the card while Lana disappeared from TV.

Violating The Rules 

In a statement released by World Wrestling Entertainment Rob Van Dam and Sabu by the Ohio State Highway Patrol were charged with drug-related charges and Dam had suspended without pay for 30 days Whereas Sabu had been fined $1000. 

Batista, a retired WWE wrestler, was fined $100,000 in 2009 by WWE after he violated the company’s Wellness Policy. The fine was due to a positive test for a banned substance, which led to a 60-day suspension.
