This Christmas, the Queen is unhappy as Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and Archie Harrison are not visiting the UK for their traditional Christmas. Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and their little son will be on zoom call this Christmas. The Queen had to reform the guest list due to the covid-19 pandemic, which has made her quite upset. The family unison is not happening this time during Christmas.
Christmas Eve and the following week is always a festive season for the royal family and the rest of the Brits. The royal family traditionally celebrates Christmas Eve. Christmas brings all the royal family together. According to the German heritage, the royal family on the 24th December, every year, sit down normally together and open the presents they receive from each other. All the members of the royal family have a stack of gifts laid out on the Trestle table of their Drawing room. Name cards are mandatory in front of every stack of gifts.

Before five months of marrying Prince Harry, Meghan gifted Queen Elizabeth a singing toy hamster. The then would-be-grandmother-law “burst out laughing”, as she enjoyed the present she received from her the then future granddaughter-in-law. The Queen reacted by saying that the hamster toy can give her dogs a good company.
In 2019, Kate Middleton expressed that unlike before, not all gifts are unlatched. Just one present gets unfolded in front of everybody. Kate at Mary Berry’s festive TV show said that Prince William’s family has got a beautiful tradition of opening Christmas gifts the day before Christmas.
This year due to the Covid-19 crisis, The Queen and Philip will be spending Christmas in the UK, without other members of the royal family. Also, the age of Queen and Philip do not make them eligible to be in mass gatherings they have planned to spend together, staying away from the rest.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will be spending their Christmas this year in America with their son Archie Harrison. They plan to be on a zoom call with the Queen and the rest of the royal family.
Kate Middleton and Prince William will be spending time in Cambridge this Christmas.
