Prince Harry’s return to the UK made headlines to all the possible newspapers in the world. His return marked the first reunion after the couple’s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. The duke and Duchess of Sussex completed their final royal engagement as senior royals in March 2020. They shifted to Los Angeles with their son, Archie. The couple is about to welcome their baby girl this summer.
Prince Harry’s grandfather, Prince Philip’s death made him fly to the UK for the funeral. In the UK, apart from attending his grandfather’s funeral, Prince Harry was found having a private meeting with Queen Elizabeth. Though most of his return trip was comprised of covid protocols. Prince Harry was in an isolation at Frogmore cottage. Meghan Markle could not fly with her husband for the funeral. She was advised by her physician not to travel during the last weeks of pregnancy. Queen Elizabeth showed support to Markle’s decision.
Prince Harry’s visit to the UK for the funeral marked several incidents. Prince Harry got to interact with most of the Royals and the relatives. Though three very important people were missing. Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children: Prince George, 7, Princess Charlotte, 5, and Louis, 3. The royal kids were not part of the funeral procession. A source revealed to the US Weekly, “Prince Harry didn’t get to see George, Charlotte, and Louis.”
According to US Weekly, it was revealed that the brothers, Prince William and Prince Harry remain in regular contacts through video calls. They exchanged Christmas presents the last year. Prince Harry returned to Los Angeles on 20th April. Katie Nicoll, a royal expert mentions that Kate Middleton acted as the peacemaker between the royal brothers during the funeral. The siblings were found chatting with each other after the funeral. Nicoll in an interview with Entertainment tonight also mentions that the situation was tense between them initially. it was only when the Duchess of Cambridge talked to Prince Harry that the brothers relaxed. After which they talked for hours.
