What Keanu Reeves’ John Wick 4 Will Borrow from it’s Prequel

What type of continuity are you expecting from John Wick 4? While most of us have been guessing scenes from the movie these days, the director of the franchise namely, Chad Stahelski has disclosed how the next installment would depict  Keanu Reeves’ hidden stances from the previous version, Parabellum.

From the Parabellum

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the mastermind recently shared that John Wick 4 will however reflect upon scenes from Parabellum as he voiced his preference for ‘thematics’.
Chad told, ‘Obviously, you can see the influences of the old Westerns and the old Samurai films. All the Arthurian tales for chivalry and all that kind of stuff, back to that.’ Indeed, the valor is quite predominant as an element in his filmography.

Unveiling the new scope

He then elaborated that formerly two action sequences that were thought to be adapted in the movie couldn’t make its way onto the screen due to lack of ‘room’. And that puts forward a high possibility of projecting such shots in the very next chapter. He said, ‘And I’d like to think that 90 percent of what I pulled, there’s a place in John Wick 4 that I can definitely reinsert them’.

The ultimatum is yet to be explored

However, that simply goes on stretching into another level rather than landing upon a foreseeable destiny. Yes, it’s a blend of genuine folklores and parables. He went on saying, “At least for the Wicks, we’ve always liked mythology and fables, or something like that, that just kind of end and they don’t tell you what happens the next day’.

Breaking the expedition

Advancing towards the final mission, Chad plans to allegorize the tale in different switches and concluded, ‘We label them chapters for a reason. If John Wick were a real character, we don’t think those kinds of stories end well for the protagonist, just due to the lifestyle they lead. So, at some point, when we think Mr. Wick has run his course, I’m sure his demise will be epic, but until then, we’re going to keep doing chapters and just tell the story, the myth or the fable for that portion of his day or that portion of his life.”

Lastly, we can’t but wait for John Wick 4 to hit the theatres in May 2022.
