US To Give ‘Conclusive’ Report On Covid-19’s China Origins, Shares Trump
US President Donald Trump has pledged to give a “conclusive” report from the U.S. government on the Chinese origins of the global pandemic novel coronavirus outbreak across the globe. He further added that he has little doubt about Beijing misled the entire world about the effect of the COVID-19 before it started affecting people in this large scale and became a pandemic around the world.
“We will be giving a very strong report on what we think happened, and I think it will be very conclusive,” Trump told during a “virtual town hall” hosted by Fox News on Sunday. “Personally, I think they made a very horrible mistake,” Trump said of the Chinese. “They tried to cover it, they tried to put it out.”
On the other hand, Matt Pottinger, the deputy national security adviser of The White House will speak on the U.S. relationship with China on Monday. The University of Virginia’s Miller Center will host the webinar. Moreover, on Sunday, the Associated Press also gave a report where it was said that U.S. officials believe China covered up the extent of the pandemic outbreak by stocking up all the medical supplies whatever is needed for this.
However, Trump’s comments came as U.S.-China relations became worst and the death toll has increased. Notably, the country has the highest reported numbers of positive cases and also deaths of any other country as well where over 67,000 people have already died from the novel coronavirus in the U.S. so far, out of 247,000 people in the whole world.
On the other hand, Michael Pompeo, the Secretary of State said that several pieces of evidence showed that this pandemic started in Wuhan laboratory, but unfortunately, there was no proof available which can prove his claims true. However, Yuan Zhiming, the director of the facility’s high-security Wuhan National Biosafety Laboratory, claimed last month that there is no way that the novel virus originated from their organization.
