Apple revealed the new version of its latest Airpods buds will have built-in hearing aids. Also, this new feature will help more than 1 million people across the globe.

The New Feature Of The Airpods

“This helps them better engage in conversation, and keeps them connected to the people and environment around them,” Apple said, reported by NBC News.

The new feature of the AirPods Pro will focus on users with mild to moderate hearing loss as it functions similarly to an over-the-counter hearing aid. After completing the hearing tests on iPhones or iPads with iOS 18, the AirPods will make “personalized dynamic adjustments,” to allow users to hear the immediate listening environment with sounds improved to customized levels in real-time.

The hearing tests took around five minutes and the results including audiograms will be securely stored in the Health app. For users listening to any media, the settings will automatically apply.

The new Airpods will utilize the personalized hearing profile to help with its new hearing aid feature adjustments,  including phone calls, music, and other types of media.

It will also feature a passive noise-reduction hearing loss “prevention” The feature automatically reduces loud ambient noise while preserving the audio quality. As per Apple, it would be useful at live concerts.

Apple, one of the most promising tech companies, expanded its product lineup to include iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Mac computer. And the services including the App Store, Apple Music, iCloud, and Apple TV+.

“For decades, Apple has led the way in designing products for everyone and supporting users with a broad spectrum of hearing abilities,” Sarah Herrlinger, Apple’s senior director of global accessibility policy and initiatives, said in a statement, reported by NBC News.

 “These features on AirPods Pro will make an impact on so many people by driving more awareness around hearing health and empowering individuals with new customizable tools to help them stay connected,” he added.

According to the World Health Organisation, around 1.5 billion people in the world have a problem with hearing loss, Apple said.
