Mikey Musumeci Eager To Face Kade Ruotolo In ONE 168 Showdown

Mikey Musumeci, also known as ‘Darth Rigatoni,’ reigning ONE flyweight submission grappling world champion is eager to face lightweight titleholder Kade Ruotolo at ONE 168: Denver.

In an interview ‘Darth Rigatoni’ told Cageside Press: “I’m just really excited for this challenge. The uncertainty, the doubt, can I do this? Can I overcome such an amazing competitor? There’s no bad blood, there’s no pushing or anything. Thank God, it’s going to be good vibes.”

The two ONE world champions are ready to face each other in a grappling super-fight, and Musumeci, 28, loves the monumental challenge.

Darth Rigatoni’ Mikey Musumeci will move up three weight classes to challenge ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion Kade Ruotolo for his golden strap. If he wins, Musumeci will become a two-division ONE world champion.

 A victory would make Mikey Musumeci a two-division ONE world champion as he will move up three weight classes to challenge ONE lightweight submission grappling champion Kade Ruotolo. 

Kade Ruotolo is an American Brazilian jiu-jitsu practitioner and submission grappler. He is known for being the ONE lightweight submission grappling world champion, celebrated for his dynamic and aggressive grappling style and is considered one of the top pound-for-pound submission grapplers in the world. His achievements include notable wins in major grappling tournaments and a reputation for pushing the boundaries of the sport.

Ruotolo is widely regarded as the top pound-for-pound submission grappler globally and is regarded larger than Musumeci by at least three weight classes. Despite this, ‘Darth Rigatoni’ remains determined to take him on.

“My whole game is attacking. Like, I don’t know how not to attack. So I’m still planning to attack. I’m gonna go for the kill with Kade every second. It’s scary. It’s crazy,” said Musumeci
