Scarlett Johansson talks about her Marriage with Ryan Reynolds

Scarlett Johansson spoke about her two-year marriage to Ryan Reynolds where she revealed that she had “no understanding” of the commitment when she tied the knot.

In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, the actress talked about her latest role in the newly-released Marriage Story where she features alongside Adam Driver as a couple who are on the brink of divorce. They have a son named Henry and the parents struggle to keep their marriage with failed counselling. She shared that she used the experience from her own life to understand the role
The rumours of Johansson and Reynolds’ romance first came in the limelight in early 2007 and the couple got married in a private ceremony on Vancouver Island the next year.

Two years later, in 2011, they decided to call it quits.

A statement from the former couple read: “After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we’ve decided to end our marriage. We entered our relationship with love and it’s with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn’t expected, it’s certainly appreciated.”

After their divorce, Reynolds later married the actress Blake Lively with whom he has three daughters. On the other hand, Johansson tied the knot with French journalist Romain Dauriac and they have a five-year-old daughter, Rose Dorothy, together. However, the couple divorced in 2016 after two years of their marriage.

But the actress once again found her love is now engaged to Saturday Night Live writer Colin Jost. Sharing her thoughts on marriage, Johansson said that she likes the idea of having a family.
“The idea of building a family, making a family, and having that work, I like that idea. I think that would be wonderful. I’ve always wanted that. I wanted that also in my marriage to my daughter’s father as well. It just wasn’t the right person. But I like that idea,” she added.
