Scarlett Johansson Reveals How Iron Man 2 Changed Her Life
As Scarlett Johansson gears up for her solo moment in Black Widow as Natasha Romanoff this summer, the 35-year-old shared an awesome way the character has impacted her life.
“Iron Man 2 was the first time I had to combat train. It was grueling. I found out that I had got the role five weeks before we started shooting. So, I just had to transform in those five weeks. It was a pretty intense time. It’s actually been such a gift for me. Because I was probably maybe 23, 24 at the time. It actually gave me this life of physical acumen I would probably never have had otherwise.”

The words take us back to young ScarJo when she first donned those red locks in Jon Favreau’s Iron Man sequel. Though she was already a well-known actress for her roles in Match Point, The Island, Lost In Translation or He’s Just Not That Into You, slipping into the leather suit has placed her even higher into the A-list.
In Iron Man 2, the actress learnt basic martial arts, about how to throw a punch and hold a weapon which has benefitted her for the future years.
While speaking to Vanity Fair about highlights of her career, Scarlett gave a shout out to the stunt woman, Jojo Rabbit actress Heidi Moneymaker for being a massive part in exhibiting such skills and called her a “very amature stuntwoman”. She also admitted about her ability to pull off many action sequences from Heidi’s franchise without any stunt double.

On the set of Avengers: Age of Ultron, Scarlett Johansson even played her role during her pregnancy. Her co-star Chris Evans described the scene as “a lot of fake Scarletts around”.
However, the two MCU actors may share the screen again in Greg Berlanti’s The Little Shop of Horrors where Johansson might roleplay Audrey with Evans as her sadistic dentist boyfriend, Orin Scrivello.
