After the announcement of Prince Harry and Meghan’s stepping down from their roles as senior royals, Buckingham Palace just released some new details on the duo’s next steps as they prepare to leave the Windsor family, even including a date.
Almost 2 months following the couple’s initial statement, led by weeks of discussions, the Palace has stated all the changes that will come into effect from March 31st. As this won’t happen frequently, there will be a 12-month “trial” period from the date, to see how things are working out with the proposed decisions.
From April 1st onwards, the couple will be represented through their UK foundation team.

The Palace also has shared that the pair will retain their HRH titles, who will not be actively using them. Harry will keep his military ranks being Major, Lieutenant Commander, and Squadron Leader, rather using them during the 12 month trial period.
On February 28 Prince Harry will be joining Jon Bon Jovi as the famous rock star re-records his song ‘Unbroken with the Invictus Games Choir.
Later on March 5th, The Duke will attend the Endeavour Fund Awards, while the day after he will meet with Lewis Hamilton for the official opening of the Silverstone Experience, which is a brand new immersive museum telling the story of past, present and future of British motor racing.
Meghan will join her husband as they step out for Mountbatten Festival on March 7th.
The couple will be present for the annual performance at the Royal Albert Hall by the Massed Bands of Her Majesty’s Royal Marines, raising money for The Royal Marines Charity and CLIC Sargent.
The next day Meghan will be marking International Women’s Day.
