Meghan reportedly delivered a virtual speech this week to her Los Angeles high school, Immaculate Heart, as she introduced the subject to the candidates’ forum in a robust outlook. The objective was to entreat it’s graduates to go for voting, asking them to participate in the nationwide movement. However, the address marked the first royal acknowledgement to garner mass attention about George Floyd’s death which aims to end police cruelty and racial infringement.

The Suits’ actress admitted her courage while raising her voice on the issue which recalled several other incidents from the past. She told, “I wasn’t sure what I could say to you. I wanted to say the right thing. And I was really nervous that I wouldn’t, or that it would get picked apart, and I realized—the only wrong thing to say is to say nothing. Because George Floyd’s life mattered, and Breonna Taylor’s life mattered, and Philando Castile’s life mattered, and Tamir Rice’s life mattered, and so did so many other people whose names we know and whose names we don’t know. An insider who’s close to the pair revealed that the matter “is something that is incredibly personal to Meghan, especially given everything she has experienced.”

Harry and Meghan have been “quietly having meetings behind the scenes with people on all levels to make sure they are educated and connected to the issues of police brutality and the Black Lives Matter movement.”
