Meghan & Harry Will Join The Royal Family For Their Last Engagement

Reports have confirmed that Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, will join other senior members of the Royal Family for their last engagement before stepping back as senior members of the Windsor heritage. The event will be the first time to mark the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’ appearance within the Royal Family since their ‘Megxit’ announcement. The service is scheduled to take part in London on March 9 which will be broadcast live on BBC One and across the BBC World Service.

Richard Palmer, The Daily Express’ Royal Correspondent wrote: “A last hurrah. Confirmation from Buckingham Palace that both the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be at the Commonwealth Day service at Westminster Abbey on March 9. They will join the Queen, Charles and Camilla, and the Cambridges at the service.”

The other patrons will range from the world of Olympics to the Prime Minister: A cordial moment
At the event, boxing champion and Olympic gold medallist Anthony Joshua will be delivering a reflection, while singers Alexandra Burke and Craig David are expected to perform. Guests of honour among the 2,000-strong congregation will also include Prime Minister Boris Johnson, the Commonwealth secretary-general Baroness Scotland, ambassadors, faith leaders and more than 800 schoolchildren.

Harry and Meghan will attend the annual Endeavour Fund Awards at Mansion House in London on March 5 to honour the sick and injured military who have taken part in sporting and adventure challenges over the past year. The day after, Prince Harry is expected to join British Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton at the official opening of the Silverstone Experience museum on March 6.
