MCU’s Next Project would be Bigger than 23-Movie Infinity Saga
While you might have thought that Joe and Anthony Russo would never make a comeback in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, its time to encounter the truth. And that counts on the directors’ hints about coming up with something more than 23-movie Infinity saga. Yes, that’s what their indications highly promise for in the upcoming days.
In an interview, Anthony Russo came to reveal about such progress voicing, “It would be the biggest movie you could possibly imagine, so that’s what really excites us about the story – the ambition of it is even bigger than the ambition of the Infinity Saga.”
But, what it would be like? The answer is bringing alive Marvel Super Heroes Secret Wars on the sets of MCU. To give a brief, Secret Wars happens to be a limited comic book series that comes in 12 issues. The book was published between 1984 and 1985 by Marvel Comics. If we go by the storyline, the plot features heroes alongside villains who are kidnapped and teleported to a planet called Battleworld created by the Beyonder. Meanwhile, the Beyonder would ditch them against each other.

Joe, however, addressed the duo’s plan behind the project while speaking to BroBible and shared, “You know, I read that when I was 10 or 11, and it was the scale of getting all of the heroes together. It was one of the first major books to do that – that was really event-storytelling to me at its finest. And what happens when you put all of those personalities together. I also like the idea of villains having to team up with heroes. Anth and I like complicated relationships between heroes and villains, we like villains who believe they’re heroes in their own stories, so it’s all sort of built into this notion of Secret Wars. To execute something on the scale of the Infinity War was directly related to the dream of Secret Wars, which is even larger in scale.”
