Keanu Reeves Becomes the Reason of Fight between Marvel and DC

2019 has become the year of Keanu Reeves as he becomes the internet’s new favourite actor. And after having 35 years in the industry, he deserves the honour.

He has seen the recent success from John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, one of the best of this year’s blockbusters. Along with his stunning supporting role in billion-dollar smash-hit Toy Story 4 and a brilliantly self-aware cameo as himself in Netflix’s hit rom-com Always Be My Maybe, he has been doing great.

Reeves, meanwhile, signed for the role of Neo in the fourth instalment of The Matrix franchise and is currently giving finishing touches to Bill & Ted Face the Music, the long-delayed threequel that will see him playing Theodore ‘Ted’ Logan for the very first time since 1991.

The story behind the fight

On the other hand, one of his previous roles is reportedly causing a problem between Marvel Studios and DC Films, where both the studios are desperate to give him a high-profile comic book gig. While DC and Warner Bros. were interested in bringing Reeves back into the DCEU as Constantine, he is currently associated with Marvel for the next project.

The situation will be interesting if DC managed Reeves back for one of their own comic book franchises, then that would give them huge bragging rights, it can be said keeping his recent popularity in mind. In fact, the rumours have surfaced that the reason behind The Matrix 4 is to prevent Keanu Reeves from making any other movies for Marvel and keep him around for a return as Constantine.

As of now, we will have to wait and see what is in store, but one thing has become clear that everyone in Hollywood wants to work with Keanu Reeves.
