Jennifer Lopez’s Hustlers passed with A certificate in India

There were a lot of speculations over the release of Jennifer Lopez starred Hustlers. Given the bold content it portrays, it was a matter of worry for the fans how the Censor Board would welcome the movie in India.

Four cuts for Hustlers

In India, Hustlers is going to be one of the most exciting Hollywood releases in India this year. In the Lorene Scafaria directorial, JLo as Ramona, the owner of a popular strip club sets up a scam to hustle from her wealthy Wall Street clients. The movie has some big names from the industry with the 50-year-old Jennifer Lopez taking the most limelight. Apart from her Hustlers will see Constance Wu, Julia Stiles, Keke Palmer, Lili Reinhart, Lizzo and Cardi B. Ar the US box-office Hustlers raked in USD 34 million in the very first weekend.

The fans were eagerly waiting for the decision of the Censor Board with just a couple of days for the big release. According to a reliable source of information shared with A Pinkvilla, the much-anticipated movie has been passed with an A certificate. However, it will undergo four cuts before its release. But It will be interesting to see if the much talked about 10-minute introductory performance of Lopez in the strip club can make it to the final portrayal. The answer will be revealed on September 27, 2019, when Hustlers will finally release in India.

Constance shares her thoughts

Meanwhile, Constance who is in a very integral role in the movie talked about her character Destiny in details. According to the 37-years old, the role the loneliness and solitude of the character make it beautiful. “I had been looking to play a character who was deeply lonely, because of how our culture causes such loneliness. We need stories about that. Destiny is so beautiful to me because of her solitude, and the ways she tried to pretend her way out of it seemed counter-intuitive, but also so very human.”
