As Meghan Markle’s father was interviewed by The Sun on the royal couple’s upcoming biography, Finding Freedom, Thomas told the publication, “I love my daughter but I really don’t appreciate what she’s become right now. This is the worst time in the world for them to be whining and complaining about anything — because people everywhere are suffering due to the coronavirus pandemic”.
When a snippet from the tome was published by The Sunday Times over the weekend, it stated that Meghan and Harry “rejected” the idea of protecting Thomas Markle as media coverage about the father-daughter relationship escalated at that time. While Thomas was presented with the context, he reacted saying, “The fact the royals advised them to get me help and they refused to do it is incredible news.”
