What is cocaine?

It sells 100 billion dollars a year on the streets. By the way, Starbucks does not even earn so much.  Know how long does cocaine stay in your system – Body, Saliva, Urine, Hair?

Cocaine has become a popular relaxing drug for the whole world. All social classes, all ages, religious and political provisions – are found everywhere by cocaine users.  Incas used coca leaves for their religious ceremonies. Mountain workers used cocaine to prevent high-altitude sickness. As you know, the higher the mountains, the less oxygen. If you get less oxygen, you can feel inadequate sleep, weakness, a headache, nausea, have weaker wrists and hands. And physical activity further strengthens these symptoms. So, people used to take cocaine for more energy. The result is more energy, less hunger.

Cocaine can be detected in the Blood, Urine, Hair, and Saliva after the last use. Unlike many other intoxicants, cocaine stays in a person’s sweat for a long period of time, up to several weeks. It may also be detectable in a hair sample for years after an individual stops using the drug.

Cocaine effects

What does it do, the physical and mental effects, what happens in the brain, the return to normal?

Blood pressure is rising, and heart beats more often. Consumers say they feel an energy surge. Cocaine works quickly, and the effect is short. The most strong impact begins after 10-15 seconds, reaching the peak for about the fifth minute, and ending after 20-30 minutes. Cocaine stimulates the central nervous system and the cardiovascular system cells. Brain cells are being fooled with pleasant sensations, while relaxing dopamine. Dopamine absorption is restrained, thus extending the sense of pleasure. After all, this joy is released, and the effect disappears quickly. Cocaine has an unusual property – the same dose is quickly getting used to. If cocaine is used 2-3 times a week, tolerance develops rapidly. Then you want cocaine more and more often. Since dopamine is released artificially, over time, it becomes difficult to release it by natural methods.

The so-called cocaine psychosis begins. The man starts to fight with reality; paranoia and anxiety occur.  Acoustic hallucinations, aggression seizures may occur. Psychologically, cocaine gives ecstasy and self-confidence. A person is more inclined to communicate, speak. Physically, you feel strange: the “hard” jaw, the expanded pupils. Pressure, pulse, temperature tend to rise. If you are not physically fit, be careful. May feel very strong and sexually excited.

Long-term effects

Cocaine inhibits appetite. Insomnia, irritability, distrust of some people begin. It can last for several days; there is a “zombie effect” – depression, inability to concentrate, headache.
