The Loki trailer released by Marvel- after all these years- finally acknowledges their discrepancies in their portrayal of the abilities of the antagonist we always loved more than the saviors of the planet.
The MCU Phase 4, seems to be finally realizing the ‘sibling rivalry’ they have been gurgling between Thor: The God of Thunder and Loki: The God of Mischief. First appearing in 2011 with a shallow eyed face in Thor, Tom Hiddleston, the on-screen Loki captured the viewer’s mind; maybe it’s the working of his all mysterious mischief power. And that’s how his fans closely swooped away him from his death in 2013’s Thor: the dark world.
It has been absolute supremacy to watch Thor and his baby brother Loki at the opposite ends of the spectrum. The sheer will for Thanos to see under the feet of the avengers was also springled with the hidden wish to see Loki walking his stooped steps once more. Marvel decided to bring him back in Avengers: Infinity War and the fans kept glued to their seats after post-credit scenes just to catch another glimpse of his face.
The adoptive brother, Thor has always been portrayed as a god-like figure with his hammer and suit, while on the other hand, the God of mischief’s powers has always remained unexplored. But with the new project with Loki’s name on the title, we fans can expect to see a full-blown image, with the diverse tricks and throttles, even some unknown history of the baby brother himself in his little territory where the MCU never really launched their searching eyes before, since 2011.
No doubt, during all these years, the fans know a great deal about the cracks and crevices of every character of the favorite action Universe. they have all been portrayed with an ever-increasing potential of their magical powers. In every new sequel, the characters are shown to be adding on their existing abilities, magical powers, and some newly discovered ability- just like the dragons under Toothless’s territory. But Loki was left vaguely without any hint of his powers being boosted.
Maybe the new project will open an entirely new door to the Loki universe.
