According to the Hollywood Report, WIF, previously known as Women in Film, Los Angeles, revealed on Monday the Hollywood actresses who will be celebrated at the 2024 WIF Honors event.

Honoring The Industry Leaders 

The honourees include Annette Bening, Michelle Buteau, Joey King, Ellen Kuras, Danielle Sanchez-Witzel, Kerry Washington, and Kate Winslet.

The event will be held on October 24 at the Beverly Hilton and the theme for the event will be “The Power of the Collective,” honoring industry leaders who demonstrate how collaboration, inclusion, and inspiring narratives can transform culture for the better.

Jurnee Smollett, a member of the WIF board of directors, will deliver the opening remarks at the annual benefit.

Winslet and Director Kuras will be honored with the Crystal Award for Advocacy in Film for their amazing work on Lee. Buteau and Sanchez-Witzel will receive the Crystal Award for Advocacy in Television for their collaboration on Survival of the Thickest. Annette Bening will get the Jane Fonda Humanitarian Award, selected personally by Fonda, Kerry Washington will be honored with the Entrepreneur in Entertainment Award, while Joey King will receive the WIF Max Mara Face of the Future Award as the 19th recipient.

“Proud To Celebrate Their Achievements”

“The 2024 honorees embody the very essence of leadership, creativity, and advocacy that WIF has championed for over 50 years,” WIF CEO Kirsten Schaffer said in a statement, reported by Wionews.

“Their remarkable contributions, both on and off the screen, are a testament to the progress we continue to make toward a more equitable and inclusive entertainment industry. We are proud to celebrate their achievements and the lasting change they inspire.” Schaffer added.

The event is designed to support WIF’s educational and philanthropic initiatives, as well as its efforts to promote gender equality in the entertainment industry. It is sponsored by Max Mara, with ShivHans Pictures as the Visionary Sponsor, along with support from Amazon MGM Studios, Lexus, Netflix, and STARZ’s ‘#TakeTheLead’ campaign.
