Julia Roberts will be featured in the new La vie est belle L’Elixir fragrance brand, created by Master Perfumers Antoine Maisondieu and Christophe Raynaud (Givaudan), this new fragrance offers a twist on the original La vie est belle scent.

“Julia Roberts In A Beautifully Poetic”

In a report by People Maisondieu describes L’Elixir as “A new symbol of floral modernity for this new chapter of La vie est belle. Behind this fragrance is a desire for softness, for caressing, for reinventing the sensuality of the skin…[via] the addition of a woody violet immersed in an irresistible raspberry liqueur and sprinkled with bitter cocoa.”

“[The film] captures Julia Roberts in a beautifully poetic, defining moment, as she chooses her own path over others’ expectations,” the press release in a report by People

Lancôme tapped Academy Award winner Damien Chazelle (La La Land, Whiplash) to direct their La vie est belle L’Elixir campaign, composed by Justin Hurwitz (La La Land) on 35 mm film showing Roberts moments before she makes her entrance into a party, swapping a bright pink ball gown for a chic black suit and escapes to a Parisian rooftop.

“With time magically suspended, Chazelle’s cinematic lens pictures the actress as she gazes out over Paris from the top of the Arc de Triomphe and experiences the exhilaration that comes with being the author of her own story.”

Her Makeup And Hair Artist Efforts

The collaboration will be Roberts’ first after being portrayed as Lancôme Ambassadress for over a decade, and Chazelle. “Working with Damien was a joy. For me, we fell into a rhythm so quickly and found a common ground of humor that was an unexpected bonus. I hope we get to work together again!

To make her look natural her makeup artist Genevieve Herr used neutral and soft colors for her makeup and hair stylist Serge Normant gave her loose waves to simply make her look elegant.

“Julia loves her eyeliner. Instead of black, I used dark brown eyeliner. A touch of blush, which is important to enhance a youthful look. The lip color was perfect because it had the right pink shade — not too light and not dark,” said Herr.
