Halle Bailey and DDG’s relationship is facing challenges. Due to undisclosed reasons, the couple has decided to split their ways after dating for nearly two years.
“We Believe It’s The Best Path Forward For Both Of Us”
In an official statement posted through the rapper’s Instagram Stories, DDG stated, “Dear friends and supporters, after much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways,” as reported by Wionews.
“The decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us. I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we shared. Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other,” DDG continued.
“As we focus on our individual journeys and our roles as co-parents, we cherish the bond we’ve built and the beautiful moments we’ve shared. As we navigate this transition, we ask for your understanding and support,” he added.
“Thank you for your love and encouragement,” he ended.
They Welcomed Their Son Halo In December
The pair were first linked together in January 2022, and in December 2023, they welcomed their son Halo. Additionally, in January, the actress shared the happy news and mentioned, “Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.. welcome to the world my halo the world is desperate to know you.”
However, Halle Bailey hasn’t made any public statement about the split.
On the work front, Halle is looking forward to the release of her upcoming film Atlantis, directed by Michel Gondry and co-produced by Pharrell Williams. Bailey will co-star with Kelvin Harrison Jr. and newly minted Oscar winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph in this coming-of-age musical set in Virginia Beach during the summer of 1977, inspired by the Atlantis Apartments, which was Williams’ childhood neighborhood.
The film is set to be released in theaters in May 2025.
