Derrick Henry has built a successful NFL career as a running back for the Tennessee Titans and Baltimore Ravens, with his girlfriend, Adrianna Rivas, by his side from the start.
Derrick Henry and Adrianna Rivas as Parents
Rivas and Henry began dating in 2016, the same year he was drafted by the Titans in the second round. Since then, the couple has welcomed two daughters.
Although the transition to fatherhood came with challenges—Henry joked with Kevin Hart on his show Cold As Balls about his lack of sleep as a new dad—the four-time Pro Bowler stated, according to The Athletic, that his family is “all the motivation I need in this world.”
Henry and Rivas have a close relationship with the families of some of his teammates, including quarterback Ryan Tannehill.
“There’s a lot of things we can be happy about. His wife and my girl, they’re close. My little girl loves his kids,” Henry spoke about Tannehill after playing his final game with the Titans in 2024.
Here’s everything to know about Adrianna Rivas and her relationship with the Baltimore Ravens running back.
She Started Her Relationship With Henry The Same Year She Got Degree
Rivas was born in Texas in 1994 to Simona and Joe Rivas and has two brothers, Daniel and Adriel. After growing up in Odessa, she attended the University of Texas, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in public relations in 2016.
In 2016, after she graduated, Rivas began her relationship with Henry. Her first social media post featuring Henry, a selfie of the couple with one of their dogs, dates back to November 2017.
Rivas and Henry have two daughters together. In January 2020, Rivas announced on Instagram that she was expecting their first daughter, Valentina Allure, who was born on May 18 of that year.
“I Thank God Everyday That You Are Who He Gave To Me”
On Christmas Day in 2023, Rivas shared a family photo announcing they were expecting again, saying, “From our growing family to yours, Merry Christmas.” Their second daughter, Celine Amor, was born on April 22, 2024.
In December 2018, when Henry achieved his record-breaking 99-yard touchdown run, Rivas shared a video of the moment on Instagram with the caption, “Just watch.” She was also present at Henry’s press conference in 2024 after he signed with the Baltimore Ravens, along with Valentina and Simona.
For Father’s Day in 2024, Rivas shared a video of Henry with their daughters.
“I love watching our babies look at you. The view only gets sweeter with time. They feel how loved and protected they are in your arms and in your eyes. I thank God everyday that you are who he gave to me and our girls. We love and appreciate you so much,” she captioned.
