The Below Deck Sailing Yacht star Daisy Kelliher, 37, revealed in a series of Instagram posts that she chose to freeze her eggs for a second time to improve her chances of potentially having a child in the future.

Goal To Retrieve Five Eggs

In her initial post, she shared a selfie taken before the procedure, wearing a hospital gown and a blue hair bonnet. She later posted a video of a friend checking in on her while she rested in a clinic bed. “Good. [I’m] just very tired and bloated, [and] I have cramps,” she replied.

In her caption, she shared that it had been “over a week” since the procedure, noting that the “main physical symptoms” she experienced were “bloating, tiredness,” and hunger, which subsided once it was done. She mentioned feeling more prepared this time, having gone through the process before, though she faced some challenges with the timing she selected for the procedure.

The chief stewardess shared that she had teamed up with Apricity Fertility Clinic for her second round of egg freezing, to retrieve five eggs. However, the doctor was able to collect only “three eggs” from “six follicles,” and they weren’t entirely sure why the results turned out that way.

“I was pretty upset. To have an expectation and to not reach that expectation was obviously very disappointing, for me personally physically it’s fine but mentally I find the whole thing so draining,” Kelliher stated.

“Nine months ago I got 10 eggs and now three, it creates intrusive thoughts in your head,” she added.

“This Doesn’t Guarantee A Baby”

In a follow-up post, the reality TV star shared a photo of herself smiling from a clinic bed after the procedure. She mentioned that she wanted to document “this journey for women looking for information” and expressed that she was feeling “so much better about it all now.”

“I took my future into my control and I have 13 frozen eggs to use if I wish to do so in the future. This doesn’t guarantee a baby but guarantees I did what I could for when the time is right,” she wrote.

“My thoughts are with anyone going through any fertility experience at the moment, in the past or the future, and thank you to everyone for the overwhelming love and support throughout my experience,” she continued.
