Speaking to Entertainment Weekly in 2005, Liman admitted about how Angie shocked Brad and Doug with her remarks on the sets as he confessed his uncomfortable stand to film such obscene moments. Well, his awkwardness can be attributed to “a relatively uptight family”. When he was enquired about the degree of comfortability of his co-actors, Doug replied saying, “They were pretty comfortable with it. Then to justify the instance, he elaborated Angelina’s liking to be “shocking sexually”.

Talking about a particular scene, the director shared that once he tried testing her attitude by asking her ” the most graphic, crazy sex act I could imagine [for the love scene].” He explained, “Like, 10 steps beyond anything I’d consider doing in my own life. She starts furrowing her eyebrows and I’m like, Oh, never heard of that one? Guess Bunny’s not that sheltered! And she’s like, No, actually, I’m just trying to figure out whether I’ve done that one.” Indeed, the result was astoundingly obvious!

Later on, Liman shed light on Angie’s stance in Jennifer and Brad’s split which was undoubtedly felt in the due course of editing the film and revealed about his and Dave Matalon’s debate to make the scene less steamy.
