A Sneak-Peak at Prince William and Kate’s Royal Palace

After Prince William and Kate Middleton have moved to the apartment 1A at Kensington Palace, the curiosity of the fans about the apartment is at its peak. The Queen gifted this apartment at the wedding of Prince William and Kate.

 

The Royal Apartment is grand inside

 

Although it is called an apartment, it is a four-storeyed grand palace inside. Including the basement and the attic, it has 20 rooms in total which includes 5 reception rooms, 3 main bedrooms, dressing rooms, nursery and staff quarters. In a discussion between Kate Thornton, Christopher Warwick, and Ingrid Seward about the royal apartment, Mr Warwick stated that the royal residents at Kensington Palace were known as apartments which made people confused with normal flats. Generally, in American culture, the small flats are known to be called apartments. But this apartment is made on three courtyards. Although all the royal residences in the palace are joined together, they are separate houses.

They are not the first royals to live in the Kensington Palace

Before Prince William and Kate also, their many royals have lived in the Kensington Palace. Previously the apartment, where William and Kate have moved, belonged to Princess Margaret. Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank used to live at Ivy Cottage. On the other hand, Kent’s Prince and Princess Michael lived in Apartment 10.
