Two-division MMA world champion Christian Lee is excited to lead the reopening of his family gym in Waipio, Hawaii. Now renamed The Prodigy Training Center from its former title United MMA, the facility honors Lee’s late sister Victoria.

“Wanting To Go Back Into The Community”

In an interview with Sportskeeda MMA, ‘The Warrior’ revealed his choice to reopen the gym, inviting everyone to experience the art and discipline of martial arts.

“Around two years ago, we closed our gym down, and since then, we decided to reopen. We talked about, between my wife, my brother, and talked about just wanting to go back into the community to help people, and we do that by teaching martial arts.”

“So we felt like it was time to go back and open up our gym again. And we left United MMA behind. We reopened as Prodigy Training Center. Of course, the name Prodigy comes from my sister. We’re very excited to be reopening. We start classes officially the day after we come back from my brother’s fight. I’m excited to get that going,” he continued.

Adrian Lee Excels as Prodigy Training Center Debuts

Meanwhile, Christian Lee’s younger brother Adrian has already showcased the Prodigy Training Center with a strong 2-0 record at the world’s largest martial arts organization. The Singaporean-American superstar is expected to continue this success in his highly anticipated return at ONE 169: Atlanta.

After a long break from the sport, Christian Lee feels revitalized and ready to continue where he left off.

“There’s no need to have an interim belt now that I’m back in action and I’m ready to defend either belt,” he told Sportskeeda MMA.

The Warrior’s first challenge will be defending his lightweight MMA title against undefeated contender Alibeg Rasulov at ONE 169: Atlanta on November 8 at State Farm Arena. Tickets for this major event are available through Ticketmaster.
