Tim Burton’s Reunion
Tim Burton reunited with many significant cast members to make the sequel from his 1988 horror-comedy, including Michael Keaton playing the titular ghoul, Catherine O’Hara, and Winona Ryder as Lydia, now a mother to her own moody teenager, portrayed by Jenna Ortega.
“I’m not out to do a big sequel for money. I wanted to make this for very personal reasons,” Burton said and the reason could be he had grown disillusioned with the film industry recently.
“I just realized if I’m going to do anything again, I just wanted to do it from my heart. Something that I wanted to do.It’s a bit like the Lydia character. Sometimes your life takes a little bit of a turn, you go down a different path. I sort of lost myself a little bit,” Burton added.
Jenna Ortega In Dior
With the help of her stylist Enrique Melendez, Dior ambassador Jenna Ortega has been recreating looks from the original Beetlejuice during her press tour. She continued the trend with a Dior Haute Couture red tulle dress, a look inspired by the wedding scene in the 1988 film where Winona Ryder’s Lydia Deetz marries Michael Keaton’s character.
Ortega, who plays Lydia’s daughter Astrid Deetz in the sequel, accessorized with Dior Joaillerie pieces, including a Bois de Rose necklace, bracelet, and rings in white gold, pink gold and diamonds. It was a red-hot look, a perfect suiting fit for the steamy summer in Venice evening.
Winona Ryder in Chanel
Veteran actress Winona Ryder, styled by Erica Cloud hit the red carpet in a Chanel Haute Couture outfit, perfectly fitting to her character Lydia Deetz, on the big screen. She wore a black silk tulle skirt paired with a tailored tuxedo jacket and vest adorned with gold buttons. Moreover, her red carpet look also paid homage to her past look as it was inspired by a design from the fashion house’s 2007 haute couture collection.
