The star of 77 Sunset Strip, Robert Logan, also famous for Skip Robinson in The Adventures of the Wilderness Family, has passed away at the age of 82 due to natural causes on May 6 in Estero, Florida. His son, Anthony Logan, confirmed the news to PEOPLE.

“So lucky and so blessed to know him”

Robert Logan passed away on May 6 of natural causes, in Estero, Florida, with the family choosing to wait to announce his death.

Logan’s family said in a statement to PEOPLE, “He was the embodiment of agape, literally the Platonic ideal of spousal or familial love, felt so lucky, so blessed, to experience that; so lucky and so blessed to know him.”

Who was Robert Logan? 

Robert Francis Logan was born on May 29, 1941, in the Brooklyn borough of New York City, and was an American actor who appeared in various films and television programs. He starred mostly in a successful series of family adventure films in the 1970s

Logan was famous for his role as J.R. Hale, the young valet parking attendant on ABC’s 77 Sunset Strip from 1961-1963. He was also the part of Jericho Jones on NBC’s Daniel Boone. Moreover, He took over from Kookie, played by Edward Byrnes, who advanced from his job to become a full-fledged investigator. He once starred as a secret agent in the pilot Death Ray 2000. However, when the show was picked up, Robert Conrad took over.

Robert met Alina 

After the cancellation of 77 Sunset Strip, Logan appeared in Dr. Kildare and Mr. Novak’s episodes; he then teamed up with Byrnes again for the musical comedy Beach Ball (1965).

Furthermore, Logan’s resume listed his writing credits for the movies Kelly (1981) and A Night in Heaven (1986), as well as episodes of Riptide and 1st & Ten. He stepped away from acting to focus on documentaries in the 1980s. 

He met his future wife, Alina  while working on the 1986 movie “ A Night in Heaven.”

 Logan had two children, a daughter by his first wife and a son, Anthony Logan, by his second wife.
