WWE recently filed two new trademarks related to its top superstars, Roman Reigns and Dominik Mysterio. These filings were made on October 11, 2024, and are aimed at enhancing the brand identity and merchandising of both superstars. Reigns’ trademark is for “Tribal Chief,” while Dominik’s is for “Dirty Dom.” Both terms are key to their on-screen personas, and these trademarks will be used for entertainment and merchandise purposes, according to Fightful.

Roman Reigns and the “Tribal Chief” Trademark

Roman Reigns, one of WWE’s most iconic superstars, recently made a highly anticipated return at SummerSlam 2024, where he turned babyface and is now feuding with his former Bloodline members.

The “Tribal Chief” persona has been a cornerstone of Roman Reigns’ success since 2020 when he turned heel and aligned himself with Paul Heyman and The Bloodline.

The Tribal Chief gimmick saw Reigns dominate WWE for years, solidifying his status as one of the most captivating characters in the company’s history.

Dominik Mysterio’s Rise and the “Dirty Dom” Persona

Dominik Mysterio, son of WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio, has made a name for himself by embracing a rebellious character.

Dominik Mysterio, has continued his villainous arc, recently betraying Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam and becoming romantically involved with Liv Morgan.

His “Dirty Dom” persona has gained massive traction since his debut at SummerSlam 2020.

While he has faced defeats at major events, including two losses to his father, Dominik remains a central figure in WWE’s storylines.

The “Dirty Dom” trademark reflects WWE’s commitment to further develop his villainous character, which has been a major draw in recent months.
