Jey Uso, one of WWE’s top Superstars and current Intercontinental Champion, has been in the spotlight recently due to a major update regarding his Crown Jewel appearance next month. Despite successfully defending his title on RAW against Xavier Woods, the match took a surprising turn when Bron Breakker attacked both Jey and Woods post-match. Breakker, who showed respect for Jey the previous week, left fans stunned with his sudden aggression. However, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, a Jey Uso vs. Bron Breakker rematch for the Intercontinental Championship is not planned for Crown Jewel 2024 in Saudi Arabia.
Jey Uso – WWE Champion and Wrestling Star
Joshua Samuel Fatu, known by his ring name Jey Uso, is an American professional wrestler currently performing on WWE’s Raw brand.
Born on August 22, 1985, in San Francisco, he is part of the famous Anoa’i family of Samoan wrestlers. Trained by his father, WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi, Jey debuted in WWE’s developmental league in 2010. Alongside his twin brother Jimmy, they formed The Usos, a highly successful tag team.
Jey Uso is an eight-time WWE tag team champion, holding the record for the longest reign in WWE history with 622 days.
He has also won individual accolades, including the 2021 André the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and the 2020 Feud of the Year for his rivalry with Roman Reigns. In 2024, Jey won his first singles title, the WWE Intercontinental Championship.
Outside the ring, Jey is married to Takecia Travis and has two children. He was trained at the Wild Samoan Training Center and continues to be a key figure in WWE.
Jey Uso’s Crown Jewel Match Uncertain
With two matches already announced for the event in Riyadh, it seems that Seth Rollins vs. Bronson Reed is more likely to be featured on the card.
This leaves Jey’s rematch with Bron Breakker scheduled for a later date, despite the growing tension between the two superstars. WWE fans are eagerly awaiting further updates on this developing rivalry.
Jey Uso to Rejoin the Bloodline?
Another major update from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter hints at a possible WarGames match at Survivor Series, featuring Roman Reigns’ original Bloodline faction against Solo Sikoa’s new version.
Rumours suggest Jey Uso and Sami Zayn could reunite with Roman and Jimmy Uso to form the original Bloodline team.
However, with Jey and Sami’s departure due to Roman’s behaviour, questions remain whether they will willingly rejoin.
Fans are now speculating about the possible inclusion of The Rock, who recently made a return to WWE TV, making the storyline even more intriguing.
