Carmella, the former SmackDown Women’s Champion, has been absent from WWE television for over 600 days, following her maternity leave. The 35-year-old, who gave birth to her son Dimitri Paul on November 8, 2023, has been recovering from complications related to her delivery. 

While fans eagerly await her return, Carmella recently shared an update on her health, revealing she is dealing with a foot injury and seeking answers through an MRI.

Absence of Carmella from WWE Television: Six Months of Non-Appearance

Carmella has been away from WWE television for more than 600 days since she left to celebrate her pregnancy. Last appearance on WWE television was on the March 13, 2023, episode of WWE RAW, where he confirmed the surprising news of having a baby with her husband, WWE color commentator Corey Graves. Carmla gave birth to her son, Dimitri Paul, on November 8, 2023. She has not returned to the ring since giving birth.

Although her break was extended, there has been no official statement on why she has still not been cleared. Recently, though, she revealed some complications she experienced after giving birth, so the audience is wondering when they will see Carmella once again in the ring.

Carmella’s Foot Injury and Drop Foot Complication

On her Instagram, where she posted a candid photo of herself, Carmella said she is currently lying under the MRI machine to see what has been causing her foot problems. “Back at it. Trying to get some answers for this foot,” she posted with a picture from the clinic.

Last May, on The Nikki & Brie Show, Carmella told the show’s hosts that she was experiencing “drop foot” since giving birth. She explained: “I have herniated discs in my back that push on this nerve that’s connected to my right foot. It’s hard to lift the top of my foot. I’m literally limping around everywhere.” She described that as a serious injury, saying: “I have a major injury from delivering my son,” that has kept her off wrestling.
