The unexpected delay of one of the most awaited games for 2020 namely Cyberpunk 2077 has created a stir among Keanu’s fans. The welcoming buzz, which was generated in its E3 2019 trailer launch featuring Keanu Reeves as its role-player has now received a cold response from the universe of action.
Tentative date of release
Cyberpunk 2077 was scheduled to launch on April 16, 2020, tentatively. However, the recent announcement of CD Projekt Red, the studio behind the masterpiece has revealed its postponed release by five months i.e. on September 17.
But it seems the delay can even stretch to 2021 or 2022 counting a minimum of one year from now on.
The deeming ray of hope in the world of action
The company tweeted the “game is complete and playable,” indicating some pending trials are yet to be completed before the final launch. Night City is incredibly scaled and owing to its complexity, some more time needs to be allotted to playtest the multiplayer before it goes out to avid game lovers.
The third delay follows after Final Fantasy 7 and Marvel’s Avengers which have been delayed in the same month.
That Cyberpunk 2077 won’t be available on the next-gen PS5 and Xbox Series X consoles might see the dawn of light after the disruptive release.
